AFTERCARE
TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
3. ONGOING CARE
After the first 14 days:
Continue moisturizing your tattoo 1–2 times a day using the tattoo cream we have recommended.
Use only the amount needed to keep your skin comfortable and moisturized.
Do not remove scabs or peeling skin. Allow them to shed naturally.
Continue caring for your tattoo until the healing process is complete.
Surface healing usually takes around 2–4 weeks, while the deeper layers of the skin may need longer to recover fully.
4. WHAT TO AVOID DURING HEALING
Do not scratch or rub your tattoo. Avoid anything that could irritate or damage the area.
Do not pick at scabs or peeling skin. Allow your skin to heal naturally and shed dead skin cells on its own.
Avoid tight clothing and fabrics that may cause friction or irritation around the tattoo.
Limit intense exercise and excessive sweating during the healing process. Also, avoid direct contact between your tattoo and dirty or contaminated surfaces.
Avoid swimming pools, the sea, hot tubs, and soaking in a bathtub until your tattoo has fully healed. Short showers are fine.
Avoid alcohol for the first 5 days, in accordance with our studio's aftercare recommendations.
Avoid direct sun exposure. Once your tattoo has fully healed, protect it with broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and UV-protective clothing whenever you are exposed to sunlight.
Keep pets away from your tattoo. Avoid contact with animal hair, saliva, and other potential sources of contamination.
Always wear clean clothing that comes into contact with your tattoo. Make sure your bedsheets and pillowcases are also clean, especially during the first few days of healing.
5. WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION
Mild tenderness and some localized redness may occur during the first few days. However, if you notice spreading redness, increasing pain or swelling, pus, fever, or other signs of infection, seek medical attention promptly.
REMEMBER
The final result is a 50/50 collaboration
Following the aftercare instructions consistently is essential to helping your tattoo heal properly and maintain its appearance over time.
Take care of your tattoo the way it deserves!
Creating a beautiful tattoo is a collaboration between the artist and the client.
We take care of the tattoo itself, and you are responsible for taking proper care of it during the healing process.
Proper aftercare accounts for 50% of the final result.
Follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and preserve the quality and appearance of your tattoo.
1. IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR SESSION
Your tattoo will be covered with either regular plastic wrap or a special absorbent dressing.
If regular plastic wrap has been applied:
Remove it after 2 hours.
Continue with the cleaning and aftercare routine described below.
If a special absorbent dressing has been applied:
Leave it in place until the evening, unless you have been given different instructions.
Before going to bed, take a lukewarm to warm shower and gently clean the area using mild, fragrance-free soap and clean hands. Do not use a sponge.
Pat the tattoo dry with clean, soft kitchen paper. Do not rub.
Wait approximately 10 minutes to ensure the area is completely dry.
Apply a generous layer of the tattoo cream we have recommended.
Cover the tattoo again with a new, clean dressing only if this has been specifically recommended by your tattoo artist.
Important: If a special adhesive healing film has been applied, follow the specific instructions you have been given regarding how long to keep it on and when to remove it.
2. CLEANING AND AFTERCARE FIRST 14 DAYS
Gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm to warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
Do not rub the area or use a sponge.
Gently remove any residue and healing fluids without damaging the skin.
Pat the tattoo dry with clean, soft kitchen paper.
Apply a very thin layer of the healing cream we have recommended.
Repeat the cleaning and cream application approximately 2–4 times a day, depending on your skin's needs and the instructions provided. Do not apply excessive amounts of cream. The skin should remain clean and moisturized, not constantly wet or overly greasy.
Do not use any products other than the cream we have recommended, unless specifically instructed otherwise by a healthcare professional.
